  Sound data practices on campus require solid collaboration. We must have shared understanding of what data means and how we are all responsible for optimizing usage. Data governance conversations will help make sure everyone remains on the same page.

  Separate from gathering standard data, sound assessment practices require working with faculty to understand how to assess, making it easy for data to be reported, and providing data back that can improve their personal pedagogy, program effectiveness, and student success.
